Boones Ferry Marina Slip Holder Agreement
Slip Assignment
Boones Ferry Marina ("BFM") assigns one moorage slip per customer. All slip assignments are non-transferable, non-refundable, and may not be rented, subleased, or reassigned under any circumstances. Slip agreements are valid only for the calendar year indicated.
Slip holders may moor only the vessel registered with BFM. Use of the slip and vessel is limited to the registered slip holder and their immediate guests for non-commercial, recreational purposes only.
Commercial use, short-term rentals, charters, or allowing multiple or rotating users to occupy, access, or operate the vessel or slip is strictly prohibited.
Any change of vessel must be submitted to BFM via email and approved prior to mooring. BFM will make reasonable efforts to accommodate slip location change requests during the renewal period. Cancellations and location changes are subject to a $200 fee.
All agreements expire on December 31st of each year. New agreements are required annually. BFM reserves the right to refuse renewal for any reason.
Slip Reservation & Renewal Period
The slip reservation and renewal period begins January 1st and ends February 15th. Customers are encouraged to renew early to secure their slip.
After March 1st, any unclaimed slips will be made available to individuals on the waitlist. Full payment is required at the time of reservation or renewal.
Slip Requirements & Maintenance
All vessels and assigned slip areas must be maintained in good working order, clean condition, and presentable appearance at all times.
Attaching materials, structures, or personal property to docks or finger piers is strictly prohibited. Installation of boat lifts or any modifications requires prior approval from marina management and may be subject to additional fees.
BFM reserves the right to require corrective action if a vessel or slip area does not meet these standards.
Fueling & Safety Regulations
BFM provides fueling services at the Fuel Dock during posted business hours, which are available on our website.
In accordance with Clackamas County safety regulations, fueling within moorage slips is strictly prohibited. Slip holders must move their vessel to the Fuel Dock for fueling. Fuel containers are not permitted in the general moorage area and may only be used at the Fuel Dock.
Violations of fueling or safety rules may result in:
- Immediate termination of the slip agreement
- Removal of the vessel from the marina
- A $500 safety violation penalty
Liability & Insurance
Moorage is provided in its current condition, including docks, finger piers, and all related infrastructure. Slip holders accept the premises “as is”.
BFM is not responsible for loss or damage to vessels, equipment, or personal property, including but not limited to damage caused by weather, theft, vandalism, fire, or other unforeseen events.
Slip holders agree to indemnify and hold harmless BFM from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from their use of the marina.
Slip holders are responsible for any damage caused to marina property, including docks, slips, and dock boxes.
All slip holders are required to carry active insurance coverage for the duration of their agreement, including:
Minimum $300,000 liability coverage
Hull coverage appropriate to the vessel’s value
Parking
BFM provides close-in parking for slip holders. Each slip includes two parking permits.
Permits must be clearly displayed on the driver’s front windshield at all times. Vehicles without a valid permit may be towed at the owner’s expense.
If a permit is not available, vehicles must use designated pay-to-park areas to avoid towing.
Replacement or additional parking permits are available for $20 each. Please contact the Marina Coordinator for assistance.
Termination & Enforcement
BFM reserves the right to terminate any slip agreement immediately, without refund, for violations of these terms or for disruptive or unsafe behavior, including but not limited to:
Subleasing or unauthorized use of a slip or vessel
Commercial activity or boat rentals
Reckless operation of a vessel
Swimming or diving from docks
Damage to marina property
Harassment, threats, or inappropriate behavior toward staff or customers
In the event of termination, BFM may remove the vessel from the marina at the owner’s expense.
If legal action is required to enforce these terms, the slip holder agrees to pay all associated costs, including attorney fees.
